Checked 30 July 2026. EVA AI’s current public documents describe an adult AI companion service with text, voice and, where available, video calling. They also describe a broad set of personal and conversational data that may be involved. Our verdict is therefore conditional: the published controls are specific enough to audit, but EmberGF did not buy Premium or run a logged-in voice, video, cancellation or deletion test.

What EVA AI documents

The Android terms, last updated 30 June 2026, describe communication with a chatbot through text, voice and—where available—a video-call interface. They say the video feature may require camera and microphone permissions and may change or disappear. The same terms state that the service is for adults aged 18 or older and is not healthcare, therapy or an emergency service.

Those are operator statements, not proof of how well the companion converses or whether a feature is enabled for a particular account, device or country. We did not verify response quality, memory accuracy, call latency, moderation, generated-media quality or support response time. A feature named in terms may still be limited by rollout, plan or platform.

The privacy surface is larger than a chat box

EVA AI’s privacy policy, last updated 3 June 2026, lists profile information, facts about a user’s life, people mentioned in a chat, images, private audio or video, text and voice messages, usage data and—where consent is given—session recordings among the information involved in the service. The notice says service providers may host or analyse several of those categories.

For an adult companion user, the practical boundary is simple: do not treat a convincing voice as a private room. Avoid names, workplaces, health details, identity documents, payment data and another person’s image or recording. Camera and microphone permission should be granted for a specific session, then reviewed in the operating system when the session ends.

For a reusable pre-chat baseline, pair this product-specific audit with EmberGF’s private-mode checklist. It separates a low-risk test account, device permissions and transcript controls from claims made by any one provider.

Voice and video: what to test safely

  1. Start with a fictional scenario and no recognisable face, room, document or background audio.
  2. Check the operating-system permission prompt and whether the app still has access after the call.
  3. Ask where call-related data, transcripts or generated media are described in the current privacy notice.
  4. Test mute, end-call and report controls before the conversation becomes personal.
  5. Do not infer that an audio stream disappears merely because the call window closes.

The terms say audio, video and other user content may be processed as necessary to operate, maintain, secure and improve the service. They also warn that video output may be unexpected, inaccurate or inappropriate. That makes permission hygiene and low-risk test material more important than a polished demo.

Premium cancellation is not account deletion

The terms describe ending Premium separately from deleting the account. Premium cancellation takes effect at the end of the applicable billing period; purchases made through Google Play follow the marketplace subscription process. EmberGF did not verify the current checkout amount, currency, trial, renewal interval or refund path, so the live final-payment screen remains the controlling evidence.

The same terms say a user can delete an account in the service and describe that action as irreversible. The privacy policy describes a right to submit a verifiable deletion request. We did not test how quickly either route completes, what confirmation is supplied or what limited records may remain for legal, security or transaction reasons. Save the cancellation receipt and deletion confirmation without retaining private chat content.

A material clause to read before paying

The current terms say that, if a user charges back a transaction, EVA AI may need to disclose private communications to establish the validity of the charge. That does not tell us how often this happens, but it is a concrete reason to keep payment disputes and intimate chat content conceptually separate. Before purchasing, identify the merchant, marketplace, renewal date and ordinary support route.

Who may find this audit useful

EVA AI may be worth a low-risk look for an adult who specifically wants to compare text, voice and possible video interaction and is willing to manage permissions carefully. It is a poor fit for anyone seeking confidential therapy, crisis support, guaranteed privacy, a permanent relationship or a product whose call behaviour and deletion path have already been independently verified.

People who routinely share real photographs, names or private recordings should pause before testing. The safer evaluation is deliberately boring: a fictional identity, a neutral room, no recognisable background, a short session and a written spending ceiling. If that limited test does not provide enough value, adding more personal data will not fix the evidence gap.

EmberGF test card

  • Documented: adult-only positioning; text, voice and conditional video; camera and microphone permissions; separate Premium cancellation and account-deletion concepts; published data categories.
  • Not independently tested: feature availability, conversation quality, model memory, call behaviour, support, checkout, cancellation completion, export or deletion completion.
  • Best first move: use a fresh low-risk account, inspect permissions and policies, set a spending limit, and find both subscription and account controls before sharing personal material.
